In lieu of our current situation here in the U.S. that is, with our credit rating downgrade, I've decided to post this particular painting titled "Seven". I don't really have a moral to this story necessarily or a tie-in to the U.S. debt issue other than the intensity of it all that is of painting "Seven".
"Seven" was a commissioned painting that I decided to take on in 2009 even though I had a deadline of just a few short days to complete. I worked feverishly throughout the next few days and nights sleeping only after exhaustion set in (sure some of you can relate;). At the same time I was commissioned to paint "Seven," I was also going through a LOT of personal ordeals and major changes in my life. It didn't take long before I started to purge strong emotions and feelings onto the canvas itself. The experience painting that piece was so powerful at times I literally was in physical pain from the top of my head down to my toes. Ha ha I'm sure someone may have thought I was possessed if they could have observed my actions. But, I stayed focused on the deadline and let "life" takeover my every brushstroke. Needless to say, I did finish it on time and the buyer loved it!
This is the only picture I have of this painting and unfortunately I had over-edited it and have since tried to correct the color etc. It's pretty accurate except the white looks a bit over exposed and some of the detail is missing.
Wishing you all a beautiful COOL weekend :)
